Yandell Publishing Ltd is committed to respecting human rights and preventing modern slavery.
As a UK-based publishing, media and events company, we recognise our responsibility to conduct business ethically, with integrity and in a manner that respects the dignity, rights and freedoms of all individuals.
Scope
This policy applies to:
- All employees, whether permanent, temporary or fixed-term;
- Directors and officers;
- Contractors, freelancers and consultants;
- Agency workers;
- Suppliers, service providers and business partners;
- Any third party acting on behalf of Yandell Publishing Ltd.
We expect all individuals and organisations associated with our business to uphold standards consistent with this policy.

Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking
Yandell Publishing Ltd has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking.
We prohibit:
- Forced, bonded or compulsory labour;
- Human trafficking;
- Child labour;
- Debt bondage;
- Withholding of identity documents;
- Coercion, threats or intimidation;
- Any form of exploitation of workers.
All work undertaken on behalf of Yandell Publishing Ltd must be conducted voluntarily and workers must be free to leave their employment in accordance with applicable laws and contractual arrangements.
No employee, contractor or supplier may knowingly engage in, facilitate or benefit from modern slavery practices.

Our suppliers may include providers of:

- Event venues and event services;
- Marketing and creative services;
- Technology and software services;
- Office and facilities services;
- Promotional merchandise and materials.
We expect suppliers to:
- Comply with applicable laws and regulations.
- Prohibit forced labour, human trafficking and child labour.
- Provide safe working conditions.
- Treat workers fairly and respectfully.
- Maintain ethical business practices.
Where concerns arise, we reserve the right to seek additional information, request corrective actions or terminate business relationships where appropriate.
Due Diligence
Yandell Publishing Ltd will take reasonable and proportionate steps to identify and manage human rights and modern slavery risks.
These may include:
- Assessing supplier risks during procurement processes.
- Considering ethical and human rights factors when selecting suppliers.
- Reviewing concerns raised by employees, contractors or third parties.
- Monitoring emerging legal and regulatory requirements.
- Taking corrective action where risks or issues are identified.
The level of due diligence undertaken will be proportionate to the nature, scale and risk profile of the supplier or activity.
Raising Concerns
All employees and stakeholders are encouraged to report concerns regarding:
- Potential human rights abuses;
- Modern slavery risks;
- Unethical conduct;
- Breaches of this policy.
Concerns may be raised with:
- A line manager;
- A Director of the business; or
- Through any applicable whistleblowing process.
Reports made in good faith will be treated seriously and confidentially, wherever possible.
Yandell Publishing Ltd will not tolerate retaliation against any individual who raises a genuine concern or assists in an investigation.
Investigation and Remediation
Where allegations or evidence of human rights abuses or modern slavery are identified, Yandell Publishing Ltd will:
- Investigate concerns promptly and fairly.
- Take appropriate corrective action.
- Work with affected parties where appropriate.
- Review and strengthen controls to prevent recurrence.
- Report serious issues to relevant authorities where required by law.
Where we determine that we have caused or contributed to an adverse impact, we will seek to address the issue through appropriate remediation measures.
